Getting started

Add your first piece: Tap the wedge at the bottom of the home screen, or share a photo into Hew from anywhere — your camera, a dealer's page, a message. I'll start the record and hold your spot.
Bring in a collection you already keep: Have a spreadsheet? Go to Settings → Import and point me at it (Excel or CSV). I'll read it first and show you exactly what I found before anything commits — then bring it all in, photos and all.
Find a piece: Use search to look across minerals, places, names, and notes — or open the map to see your collection by where each piece came from.
Take your collection with you: Settings → Export gives you your whole catalog — fields and photos — to keep or move wherever you like.

Is my collection private?: Completely. Hew keeps everything on your device and your own iCloud. Nothing is collected and nothing is sent to me. See the privacy page.
Do I need an account?: No. There's no sign-up and no login — you just open Hew and start.
Does it sync across my devices?: Yes, through your own iCloud — the same way your photos and notes sync. Turn it on in Settings → Sync.
Does it work offline?: Yes. Hew is built to work without a connection; your collection is always right there on the device.
Is there an Android version?: Not yet — Hew is on iPhone and iPad first. Tell me if you'd like Android and I'll know there's interest.
